HOW DID THIS DARK POWER GET STARTED??Satan was once an honored angel in heaven, next to Jesus Christ. His countenance was mild, expressive of happiness like the other angels. His forehead was high and broad, and showed great intelligence. His form was perfect. He had a noble, majestic bearing.
When God said to his Son, Let us make man in our image, Satan was jealous of Jesus. He wished to be consulted concerning the formation of man. He was filled with envy, jealousy and hatred. He wished to be the highest in heaven, next to God, and receive the highest honors. Until this time all heaven was in order, harmony and perfect subjection to the government of God.
It was the highest sin to rebel against the order and will of God. All heaven seemed in commotion. The angels were marshaled in companies with a commanding angel at their head. All the angels were astir. Satan was insinuating against the government of God, ambitious to exalt himself, and unwilling to submit to the authority of Jesus.
Some of the angels sympathized with Satan in his rebellion, and others strongly contended for the honor and wisdom of God in giving authority to his Son. And there was contention with the angels. Satan and his affected ones, who were striving to reform the government of God, wished to look into his unsearchable wisdom to ascertain his purpose in exalting Jesus, and endowing him with such unlimited power and command.
They rebelled against the authority of the Son of God, and all the angels were summoned to appear before the Father, to have their cases decided. And it was decided that Satan should be expelled from heaven, and that the angels, all who joined with Satan in the rebellion, should be turned out with him. Then there was war in heaven. Angels were engaged in the battle; Satan wished to conquer the Son of God, and those who were submissive to his will. But the good and true angels prevailed, and Satan, with his followers, was driven from heaven. |

When Satan
became fully conscious that there was no possibility of his being brought
again into favor with God, then his malice and hatred began to be
manifest. He consulted with his angels, and a plan was laid to still work
against God's government. When Adam and Eve were placed in the beautiful garden, Satan was laying plans to destroy them. A consultation was held with his evil angels. In no way could this happy couple be deprived of their happiness if they obeyed God. Satan could not exercise his power upon them unless they should first disobey God, and forfeit his favor. They must devise some plan to lead them to disobedience that they might incur God's frown, and be brought under the more direct influence of Satan and his angels. It was decided that Satan should assume another form, and manifest an interest for man. He must insinuate against God's truthfulness, create doubt whether God did mean as he said, next, excite their curiosity, and lead them to pry into the unsearchable plans of God, which Satan had been guilty of, and reason as to the cause of his restrictions in regard to the tree of knowledge. Genesis 3 tells the sad story of how Eve and then
Adam were led to doubt God and rebel by sinning against Him; thus turning
the forces of evil loose in this unhappy planet! They had to leave the
Garden of Eden.

WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH US TODAY?? Plenty! We live in the time that Scripture warned us would see the greatest display of Satan's power- even that he would pretend to be Christ and most people will believe him!! Take a look at this: Deceived mortals are worshiping evil angels, believing them to be the spirits of their dead friends. The word of God expressly declares that "the dead have no more a portion in anything done under the sun." Spiritualists say the dead know everything that is done under the sun, that they communicate to their friends on earth, give valuable information, and perform wonders. Ps. 115: 17. "The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence." I have been shown that Satan, transformed into an angel of light, works with all deceivableness of unrighteousness. He who could take up the Son of God, who was made a little lower than the angels, and place him upon a pinnacle of the temple, and take him up into an exceeding high mountain to present before him the kingdoms of the world, can exercise his power upon the human family, who are far inferior in strength and wisdom to the Son of God, even after he had taken upon himself man's nature. In this degenerate age, Satan holds control over mortals who depart from the right, and venture upon his ground. He exercises his power upon such in an alarming manner. I was directed to these words, "Intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind." Some, I was shown, gratify their curiosity, and tamper with the Devil. They have no real faith in Spiritualism, and would start back with horror at the idea of being a medium. Yet they venture, and place themselves in a position where Satan can exercise his power upon them. They do not mean to enter deep into this work, but such know not what they are doing. They are venturing upon the Devil's ground, and are tempting him to control them. This powerful destroyer considers such his lawful prey, and will exercise his power upon them, and that against their will. When they wish to control themselves they cannot. They yielded their mind to Satan, and he holds them captive, and he will not release his claims. No power can deliver the ensnared soul but the power of God, in answer to the earnest prayers of his faithful followers.
It is not safe to fool around with the occult and supernatural thinking it is merely fantasy and harmless fun! People may think is harmless fun to allow children to read and watch ghosts, witches, sorcerers, and wizards- but please be warned- Satan plays for keeps and he is not aiming to benefit your children- but to destroy them! Halloween is NOT harmless fun but an indoctrination of the helpless innocents into the hands of devils!
Why would we want to have our children love death and all that is ugly and cruel? Why not teach them to love beauty and goodness? The Bible expressly forbids all contact with the occult.
Witches, wizards, ghosts, fortune tellers, ouija boards, magicians, Eastern Religions, YES- and Harry Potter! Satan is flooding the world with his phenomena. And the sad thing is, you don't have to believe in him to be controlled by him! You may think it is just harmless FANTASY!
People think they are using the 'hidden powers of the mind' while it is the power of Satan and the fallen angels that are doing the works.
People think they are using 'secret powers of nature' from ancient times- Satan will tell you any story you want to believe! Then he leads you right where he wants you- and laughs!
Many Pagans LOUDLY denounce the idea of serving Satan and his bunch. BUT WHO are these 'gods', 'spirits' or 'forces' that they offer things to?? They aren't dead people - the Bible tells us the 'DEAD Know not ANYTHING'! The Bible tells us the only GOD is our Creator- and they won't worship Him. They can say what they like - there are only two sides to this thing- and they aren't on the side of the God of the Bible!
People who think everything supernatural comes from God are wide open to be deceived as the Bible tells us about "Devils working miracles!" In the near future Satan will even appear in a visible form impersonating Christ! But Jesus' true followers will know that he is lying. How?
